What time should guests arrive?

Please arrive by 3:30 PM to be seated for the ceremony, which begins promptly at 4:00 PM.

Where is the wedding taking place?

Our wedding will be at Carlsbad Windmill by Wedgewood Weddings:

What is the dress code?

Cocktail attire! Dress to impress, but also be comfortable enough to hit the dance floor.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will be held indoors in the chapel, and the reception will take place inside the Windmill Loft—so no worries about the weather!

Can I bring a plus-one?

Due to venue capacity and planning, only guests listed on the invitation are invited.

Are kids allowed?

We love your little ones, but for this event, we kindly ask that only children ages 4 and up attend. There will be 15 guests under 21 in attendance, but we are keeping it an adult-focused celebration. We appreciate your understanding!

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes! The venue offers complimentary parking for all guests.

What’s the best airport to fly into?

If you’re traveling from out of town, San Diego International Airport (SAN) is the closest airport, about 30 miles south of Carlsbad.

Are there hotels nearby?

Yes! We recommend booking a stay at a nearby hotel in Carlsbad—check out our Travel page for options.

Food & Drinks

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! We’ll have a full open bar, including well liquor, wine, beer, soda, and juices throughout the reception. Cheers! 🥂

What kind of food will be served?

We’re having a three-entrée buffet, which includes eight assorted salads, seasonal vegetables, and mashed potatoes. Oh, and don’t forget the cake and desserts! 🍰

I have a food allergy. Will there be options for me?

Yes! Let us know your dietary restrictions in advance, and we’ll work with the venue to accommodate you.

What happens if I RSVP and then can’t attend?

We understand that plans change! If something comes up, please let us know as soon as possible so we can update our guest count.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We’d love for you to be present in the moment, so we’re kindly asking for an unplugged ceremony—meaning no phones or cameras during the vows. But don’t worry, we’ll share plenty of professional photos after!

What happens after the wedding?

After the reception wraps up at 9:00 PM, you’re welcome to keep the party going at a nearby spot in Carlsbad! We’ll share some post-wedding hangout options soon.
